The Ram (Romeo)

"When I was about 10, my family and I moved to a hobby farm just outside Vernon BC. One day we took a family trip to a livestock auction. My dad accidentally bid on and won a ram, affectionately known as Romeo.

Romeo had been sent to the auction from the Old McDonald farm petting zoo because of his love for ramming things and people. So we loaded him up in the back of our mini van with 5 kids and took him back to the farm.

It was my job to feed and water him, even though I never signed up for it. Mostly, I remember being chased around the yard by this full horned ram.

The ram can also represent finding one's path in life and for me, it's a reminder of how far I've come and remember on the tough days that at least I'm not being chased around a farm yard by a crazed ram!"
