 This piece is a segment in time of Leo, who is represented currently as a lion cub, but also as a proud, courageous, strong woman with her head held high.

It is about Love.

As a confident, self-aware woman, she embodies her spirit name Waa Waa Kinhaa-Gah - Silver Birch Lady, given to her by a traditional healer at ceremony. Her hair is intertwined with the branches of a silver birch tree ending in a braid of leaves.

Leo's birth mother, White Buffalo Girl, is reaching down from the spirit realm to give Leo a kiss. This kiss represents the love that she wanted to give her, the life she wanted Leo to have.

Within the body of her mother lives the Golden Eagle Clan traditionally known as the Ginew Clan,  represented by the idea of wings.

Leo's guardian/mother embraces Leo, Leo's story and her heritage. She is a fierce protector of Leo and honors the trust bestowed upon her.
